Crown rebuilds, tuckpointing, firebox restoration and flashing repair. Every job photographed and priced in writing before work begins.
Dallas gets a handful of hard freezes each winter, and water finds its way into a hairline crown crack or an open mortar joint, freezes overnight, expands, and widens the gap. Repeat that over a few seasons and a small crack becomes spalled brick, a failed crown and water running down the flue into the firebox.
We repair the cause, not the symptom. That means finding where water is entering — crown, mortar, flashing or an uncapped flue — and closing that path before we resurface anything you can see.

Most repair calls in the Dallas–Fort Worth area come down to one of these five failures. All of them are fixable, and all of them get worse through a Texas winter.

Cracked or undersized crowns resurfaced with reinforcing mesh, or rebuilt with a proper overhang and drip edge.

Spalled brick replaced, deteriorated mortar joints repointed, and prefab chase covers and siding rebuilt.

Proper step and counter flashing rather than a bead of sealant — the most common source of a chimney leak.

Cracked refractory panels, failed damper plates and deteriorated firebox mortar joints rebuilt to spec.

Staining, damp drywall and rusted components traced back to the entry point, then closed and waterproofed.

Cracked or spalling clay tile assessed on camera, with relining options priced against a rebuild.
No repair is quoted blind. We inspect, run the camera and photograph the failure so you can see what we saw.
A line-item quote with what is urgent, what can wait a season, and what we would leave alone. Estimates are free.
Masonry work is weather dependent in Texas. We book to a dry window and tell you if a date is at risk.
Photos of the completed repair, the site cleared, and a note on what to watch over the next few seasons.
It depends entirely on what failed. A crown resurface is a modest repair; a full crown rebuild with brick replacement is a larger job. We never quote from a phone description — we inspect, photograph and give you a written line-item estimate at no charge.
Some of it. Mortar and crown material need temperatures above roughly forty degrees to cure properly, so major masonry waits for a dry window. Interior firebox work, damper repair and temporary water protection can be done through the season.
It is the repair we push hardest on. The crown is the chimney’s roof; once it cracks, every heavy rain drives water into the masonry and the flue. Caught early it is a resurface, and left alone it becomes a rebuild.
Yes. Prefab systems fail differently — rusted chase covers, damaged siding and worn components rather than mortar — and we repair both. Some prefab parts are manufacturer-specific, which we will tell you before quoting.
Our masonry crew works the same weekly route as our sweeps, so a repair identified during an inspection is usually scheduled within the same month. We cover Dallas, Garland, Plano, Richardson, Irving, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, McKinney, Mesquite and the surrounding DFW communities.
