Why Homeowners Choose Us

Built for Texas Chimneys

Long burn seasons, heavy hardwood use and sudden cold snaps are hard on a chimney. Our process is built around what actually fails here.

Locally owned & operated

A Dallas-area crew that works to NFPA 211 standards — not seasonal help with a brush.

Findings in writing

You get photographs of what we found, what it means, and what it costs — before anyone picks up a tool.

Sweeping and masonry in-house

If the inspection turns up a cracked crown or failed flashing, the same company repairs it. No subcontractor handoff.

Clean work, clean house

Drop cloths, HEPA vacuums and sealed containment. The hearth is the only thing that looks different when we leave.

Appointments we keep

Two-hour arrival windows, a text when the truck is en route, and a real person answering the phone in season.

Local to the Metroplex

Dallas based, working from Plano to Frisco and out across the surrounding suburbs all season.

Chimney Inspection

Know exactly what your chimney needs

A Pure Chimney Sweep inspection covers the firebox, damper, smoke chamber, flue liner, crown, cap and flashing. We run a camera the full height of the flue and photograph anything that matters, then walk you through it in plain language.

  • Level 1 — annual check for a chimney in regular use and unchanged condition.
  • Level 2 — required at sale, after an appliance change, or following a chimney fire.
  • Photo report delivered the same day, suitable for a real-estate file or insurer.

Chimney Sweeping

Creosote is the reason chimneys burn

Dry firewood burns fast and leaves glazed creosote on the flue walls. Once it builds past a quarter inch, it is fuel sitting inside your house. We sweep the full flue, smoke chamber and firebox, then show you the debris we pulled out before it leaves the property.

Fireplace Services

The hearth is the room. Keep it working.

Wood-burning, masonry, insert or stove — we service the appliance and the chimney it vents into, because problems almost always start in one and show up in the other.

Wood-Burning Fireplaces

Draft diagnosis, damper and smoke-chamber work, refractory panel replacement and full seasonal cleaning for open masonry fireplaces.

Wood Stoves & Inserts

Liner inspection, baffle and gasket replacement, ash and creosote removal, and a check that the insert still vents the way it was installed to.

Safety & Maintenance

Get it done before the first cold snap

North Texas can swing from a warm afternoon to a hard freeze overnight when a cold front rolls through, and every year that first cold snap fills our schedule. Fall is the right time to sweep, inspect and fix — while the roof is dry and the fireplace is still cold.

Warning signs worth a call

  • Smoke pushing back into the room when you light a fire
  • A sharp, tarry smell from the fireplace on warm days
  • Staining, damp patches or crumbling mortar near the chimney
  • Birds, nesting material or animal noise inside the flue
  • A missing, rusted or visibly damaged chimney cap

FAQ

Chimney questions we hear every fall

Once a heating season for a fireplace in regular use. North Texas winters are short, but homes that burn several nights a week can still build creosote quickly, especially with wood that hasn't fully seasoned. If you burn only a handful of times a year, an annual inspection with sweeping as needed is usually enough.

A Level 1 is the annual visual inspection of readily accessible parts of the chimney and appliance. A Level 2 adds a video scan of the full flue interior and is required when a home is sold, when you change fuels or appliances, or after an event such as a chimney fire or earthquake.

No. We seal the fireplace opening, run a HEPA vacuum under negative pressure for the whole visit, and lay drop cloths across the hearth and floor. Debris leaves with us. If the room is not as clean as we found it, tell us before we go.

In this climate, yes. An uncapped flue takes on rain that soaks into the masonry, and it is an open invitation to birds and squirrels. A properly sized stainless cap is one of the least expensive pieces of chimney protection you can buy.

A Level 1 inspection is $89. Sweeping is quoted with the inspection once we have seen the system, and repair work is always priced in writing before it starts. We do not charge for estimates on repair work identified during a visit.

Yes. Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Garland, Irving and the surrounding DFW communities are on our regular route, scheduled by area so we can reach every neighborhood efficiently. Call us for anything further out and we will tell you the next route date.
